Marie-Laure, the client
Playing the piano, singing, acting are a few of Marie-Laure Chanet’s numerous talents which make her an artist through and through. She knows better than anyone how powerful music is and the many benefits it carries. Her purpose is “to share my love for music, the joy and the serenity it provides”. Marie-Laure’s first experience of sonotherapy was an eye-opening discovery. She started sound therapy training in 2023 and opened her practice in 2024. She trusted me to design her website, aiming to introduce her future patients to her speciality, which is a very ancient form of treatment, ready to make its virtues known to a new public.
The project
Clear, sharp and precise were the watchwords of this project. Marie-Laure was looking for simplicity and a soothing website that diffuses wellness vibes, like her treatments do. Together, we listed what her site should display: a presentation of sound therapy, some useful notice and advice, a quick introduction of Marie-Laure and each way to get in contact with her. The goal: providing all the essential information without unveiling the massage procedure, thus keeping its discovery an immersive experience.
This project aimed at creating a concise website, best suited to support Marie-Laure in the opening of her sonotherapy practice. It is also a website which will easily adapt at the pace of her growth as a practitioner.
The creation
From a blank canvas, we put together visual codes and components in tune with the sound treatments and the practice where they are given.
- A wave gradation in the shape of a singing bowl symbolizes the vibrations that the instrument produces. A relaxed and floating silhouette conveys how lightweight and loosened one feels following a massage. These are the constituents of the logo, the colours of which mirror the ones found in the practice.
- Green was the main colour chosen for the website. Different shades of green bring lightness and wellbeing vibes. Touches of blue are a reference to water. The human body is in average made of 80% of liquids, which is why sonotherapy is so powerful.
- Curved angles, like bowls, bring softness to the photographs, the boxed texts and the buttons. They also contribute to the desired soothing atmosphere.
We chose to keep the website to a single page for now as it fits Marie-Laure’s current needs and her main goal: delivering the essential pieces of information her future patients should have before contacting her directly. To easily do so, the website naturally highlights and provides a contact form and her details.
Working with Marie-Laure to create her website was a delight. I particularly enjoyed and took great interest in listening to her sharing the history, practice, prospects and powers of sonotherapy. My curiosity revelled in this discovery. Besides, I was able to test and approve sound massages! Thank you to Marie-Laure for trusting me with this project.

While in training to become a webmaster, Juliane Bainaud offered to design my website to gain experience.
As I was myself in sound therapy training, I had planned to create a website which would be ready for the beginning of my new practice once certified in the spring of 2024. The synchronicity between our trainings and needs were perfect, and I happily accepted the offer.
Juliane perfectly accompanied me in creating my new website, which I wanted rather simple to start.
She showed much attention and care to my approach and my vision of sound therapy.
She managed to create a simple, elegant and evocative logo, which I will be able to easily use on different communication media.
As for the site itself, Juliane dedicated time to well and truly understand my approach, needs and wishes in order to communicate in the best way about my specialisation. A lovely presentation, quite how I had envisioned it, resulted from her work: elegant, clear and practical.
In addition, Juliane is a good adviser when it comes to finding the best hosting solution.
